Local resident and Daley Ranch enthusiast Sandra Zelasko is exhibiting her outstanding photos of the ranch’s natural environment at the Natural History Museum. The Ecosystems of San Diego County exhibit is on view in the Ordover Gallery at the San Diego Natural History Museum through May 4.
This exhibit is a representation of the different ecosystems found within the diverse county we call home. Images envelop the deserts of Anza Borrego to the hills of Daley Ranch in the northern part of our county. These photographs are outstanding, educating and inspiring.
Zelasko is one of the award-winning San Diego photographers whose work is exhibited. Her photos focus on the beauty of Daley Ranch, which she loves. The other photographers include Donna Cosentino, Vern Elmore, Bill Evarts, Peter Fay, Will Gibson, Steve Gould, Richard Herrmann, Art Myers, David Oblon, Abe Ordover, Lee Peterson, Blake Shaw, and Barbara Swanson. All images are for sale.
In addition, the museum, located in Balboa Park, is a great place to get kids involved. Along with the ecosystems show you will find dinosaurs, skulls, pirates, and much more. Book a whale-watching trip! Take a day and enjoy the wonders of Balboa Park, where the 1915-1916 Panama-California Exposition was held. Dig into history and learn how the art of photography helps save our wild places in a single visit.
Thank you to Abe Ordover and team for organizing this project. For more information visit www.ordovergallery.com/.
