Wilderness Gardens Hike
Come join us for a moderate four mile hike at Wilderness Gardens Preserve. Wilderness Gardens is a County of San Diego Park in the San Luis Rey River watershed. The park includes an historic grist mill, small museum, and pond. The hike will include the Upper Meadow Trail which has a steep approach and descent and provides wonderful views of the preserve and the San Luis Rey River corridor.
Bring water and sun protection and wear sturdy shoes.
NOTE: Self-pay parking fee of $3.00; cash only. To avoid the fee, you can arrange carpools on the Valley Center Trails Facebook Page.
Directions to meeting place:
From Valley Center, drive north on Cole Grade Rd to Hwy.76. At junction of 76 and Cole Grade, turn left/west onto 76. Travel 3.1 miles. Turn left onto Bodie Blvd. There is a sign for the Wilderness Gardens. 14209 Hwy 76, Pala, Ca.
