A Park for Valley Center

Every town deserves a grand park. Like San Diego’s Balboa Park, New York’s Central Park or more locally, Fallbrook’s Live Oak Park. Somewhere families can easily access a restorative interlude in Nature. Where we can spread a picnic blanket and just let the kids run. Imagine a rolling meadow along a creek bordered by majestic oaks surrounding a quiet pond with the backdrop of a dramatic granite hillside. We have that, and right in the center of town. Butterfield Trails Ranch would provide this for Valley Center. With higher density happening rapidly we have the opportunity right now to preserve a landscape in Valley Center that represents why most people moved here; rural beauty and peace.

The Friends of Hellhole Canyon and other community groups will be hosting an open gathering at Butterfield Trail Ranch

27765 Valley Center Rd

November 6, 2021 from 12 to 4 pm to show the potential of this property as the town’s centerpiece.

There will be tours on a horse drawn trolley , music, snacks and information on this potential park.
