Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, Heritage Trail New Year’s Family Stroll, 10 am. Join us for a stroller/kid bike/family friendly stroll from the Community Center parking lot.  Flat, easy, and fun stroll to Park Circle and back.  Bring your own juice box and be ready to ring in 2023!  Leashed dogs ok.

Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, The Annual Resolution Walk at Heritage Trail, all day. Self-Guided, all day long on the Heritage Trail – walkers, bikes, dogs, horses welcome!

Friday, Jan. 20, East Santa Ysabel Preserve, 8 am

Saturday, Feb. 10, Daley Ranch, 8 am

Saturday, Feb. 25, Family Fun at Walnut Grove Park, 9:45 am. Bring the kids for an easygoing fun walk/stroll/kid bike ride at Walnut Grove Park. The trail surrounds a park with play structures and picnic areas. One mile per lap. Interrupting the hike to play at the playground is allowed!  Leashed dogs ok.

Saturday, April 29 – Sunday, April 30, Palomar Mountain Hikes and Campout. Join our spring camp out at Palomar Mountain Cedar Grove Campsite.  Email infovcta@gmail.com to reserve a spot.  There is already a lot of interest, so reach out soon.  Even if you don’t camp, we’ll lead hikes on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Stay tuned!

Saturday, June 3, VCTA 5k at Western Days. Celebrate National Trails Day by participating in the VCTA 5k and Kids’ Fun Run at Western Days prior to the Western Days Parade.  Additionally, walk with VCTA in the Western Days Parade.

NOTE: All are welcome to our hikes. If you RSVP to anitanoone@gmail.com at least one day before the event, you will receive notice of any last minute changes. Hikes are subject to cancellation if there is a heat warning in effect, if there is steady rain one hour before, or if there has been substantial rain during the 24 hour period before the hike. Dogs are not allowed on hikes unless otherwise specified.
